SCHOOL VISITS

What is a school visit?

School visits, or “author visits” are opportunities where I am invited or sponsored to read my book at a school. Children get to read a modern day non-fictional story that encourages them to dream and become who they want to be .

Children (and their teachers) get to talk to me about ANYTHING Sachiko Goes Racing related and discuss the lessons learned in the book.

Why children need to read my book.

  • Little boys & girls alike need to be exposed to books about today’s role models that are breaking down barriers in society.

  • There are NO CHILDREN’S BOOKS about race cars with female main characters nor are there any with a main character that is AAPI. This book stands out from the rest, and the kids (and parents) LOVE it.

  • This book shows children they can become whoever they want to.

  • give your home elementary school a special event that their student body will appreciate and LOVE.

  • Decide on what school or schools you’d like to award a reading to. Pay a $100 deposit to hold the visit reservation. I’ll send a certificate to you to send to the school with all the details. Make an email introduction between me and school and we’ll take it from there.

  • My packages start at $450, which covers my time, copies for the school classroom/library, and in some cases, covers worksheets and contest prizes (deluxe package).

  • at least 2 months, if not, more.

  • No. I also can come to after school programs, church youth group activities and retail stores.

  • No. Authors have been visiting schools for a very long time. Its a great interactive activity for the children.

An author visit can be a small reading in each classroom or an assembly where the school is in one auditorium. The author reads the book to the school and hosts a Q+A session following the book reading.

Parents are given the opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of the book at a special price prior to the book reading, so their kids can have their books for the reading.
